July 29 ENGINE CHASSIS IS ALMOST DONE!!TRAIN UPDATE!!
I bought a battery for the train last Sunday. I mounted it to a battery mount inside the tank of the engine. I bu ilt the tank around the battery and also built the cab chassis. I finished the chassis today I still need to complete the tank skin and the cab roof and then install the wiring harness.
I am about 1/2 way thru to completing this project
enjoy the pics July 06 ENGINE CHASSISBegan building the chassis for the engine base. The tank is a 3/4" plywood cut to a 10.5" diameter and then cut in 1/2. I then ripped 4-1x1x12" pieces of wood to connect the 2 pieces of plywood together . I will pick up the deep cycle battery today and will also finish the rough in of the engine cab and then will be ready to paint. enjoy the pics |
